Celestine Babayaro – Celestine and Emmanuel Babayaro have lost their mother – The NFF sent condolence message to the former players Former Super Eagles stars Celestine and Emmanuel Babayaro are presently in a state of mourning following the death of their mother. Babayaro, a left-back by trade during his career and Emmanuel, a goalkeeper were part of Nigeria’s 1996 Olympics gold medal winning team. Celestine played for the likes of Chelsea, Newcastle and LA Galaxy during a glittering career while Emmanuel notably played for Plateau United in the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL).
