Yaya Toure wants Manchester City stay
Manchester City midfielder Yaya Toure wants to remain at the club after getting back into the team. Toure was initially frozen out of the Manchester City first team squad by coach Pep Guardiola because of comments made by his agent Dimitri Seluk . Now back in the team, Toure whose £230,000-a-week expires at the end of this season has been impressive for Manchester City. His relationship with Guardiola seems to be better now as they pair was seen hugging after their 2-1 win over Arsenal on Sunday, December 18 . With Ilkay Gundogan expected to be out for the rest of the season, the 33-year-old could play a more prominent role for City this season. Toure is however in no hurry to discuss sort out his future saying he is just focused on winning another Premier League title with Manchester City. “When I signed for City, I came to this club to make history,” Toure said. “I want this club to be bigger than Manchester United. I know it's going to be a lot of work, but that's my dream. “I want to make something very important. I already won two Premier League titles and I want more than that, another new story . “I have been lucky to play at big clubs – Barcelona and Olympiakos. Those teams were always used to being champions. But City, it was something different, and I am happy now.” Posted on 21/12/16
