Will Smith is in talks for Tim Burton’s Dumbo live-action remake, while Tom Hanks has been offered the villain.
In recent years Disney have been churning out live-action adaptations of their animated classics, with Beauty and the Beast slated for a March release. While Smith is getting ready to film his third Bad Boys outing, Bad Boys For Life, the actor is eyeing up the next big remake. Director Tim Burton has been waiting to make a live-action version of 1941’s Dumbo for the last few years, and now it looks like Disney are putting it on the front foot. It’s currently unknown who Smith would be playing, as the only human character is the villainous Ringmaster. However it looks like Tom Hanks is being targeted for that role, according to Variety. Although there is the chance the Sully star may choose World War II drama, The Grey Hound instead. SOURCE: Express.co.uk Posted on 12/01/17
