Asa Asika has officially returned as Davido's manager since their parting ways in December of 2012. This development was made available to Linda Ikeji Music. Davido also has since tweeted to corroborate the news.
Asa Asika and Davido were once a good artiste and manager pair, until financial misappropriation issues among other reasons floating in the news reportedly separated the pair in 2012 on December 28 following a D'banj Koko concert.Kamal Ajiboye eventually took up the new role as Davido's manager in January 2013 up until January 2017, where Davido and Kamal no longer saw eye to eye, allegations bordering on Kamal using voodoo on Davido.
Asa Asika has been seasoned as a manager receiving tutelage from Obi Asika and Naeto C back in the Storm Records days. Asika was in the picture at the time of release of Davido's phenomenal breakout smash hit single 'Dami duro' produced by Shizzi in 2012, under his HKN gang imprint. The deal to bring back Asa as Davido’s new manager was signed and sealed yesterday, January 30, 2017.
