Oba of Lagos, Rilwan Akiolu has urged Nigerians to be grateful to God and Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu for the good work President Muhammed Buhari has done in his two years in Government.

The king, according to Daily Post report, warned that he wouldn’t be supporting any corrupt leader going for any political office in 2019 and such people should not come to seek his support.

Oba Akiolu who made this remark during a programme tagged ‘Women Against Corruption’ which held in Lagos on Wednesday, February 22, blamed corruption on some government polices such as lack of security of tenure and inadequate mobilisation of contractors for public projects.

» “Never again will a corrupt man become Nigeria’s president. There is no room for somebody who spent the first three years of former President Olusegun Obasanjo’s administration making money and turning many companies to his own to come back to be the president of this country again. I mean it and by God’s grace, it shall be so.

“If a man can achieve this much in office, under two years, it shows clearly that there is still hope for this country and whether we like it or not, we should thank God and commend Asiwaju Bola Tinubu.”

Meanwhile, the Senior Special Assistant to President Muhammed Buhari on Diapora matters, Abike Dabiri also who spoke at the same event said corruptionis not as a result of poverty or greediness but Nigerians attitude towards corruption is the biggest thing fueling corruption in Nigeria.

Dabiri said if Nigerians would stop celebrating jailed corrupt leaders when they returned from prison, the country will move forward.
